DEEP THROAT-THE DOWNING STREET MEMO- BLOGGERS THE MEDIA REPORTER!!

For Nixon it was The Washington Post’s time to do the patriotic thing. Felt was the “Deep Throat” and The Washington Post was the town crier. Today the Deep Throat is the “Downing Street Memos” and us Bloggers are the town criers!!

All Americans are not necessarily familiar with the” Downing Street Memos” because our traditional Media is not doing its duty of informing us of the High Crimes these papers have documented. Briefly the “Downing Street Memos (Complete Article go to, The Times of London, May 1, 2005)” are the minutes recorded of meeting and activities by and between American leaders, G.W. Bush and United Kingdom leaders Blair and including many Corporate Leaders. These minutes recorded that in and about 2000 these people had already decided to attack Iraq and take this countrys’ oil and divide up all it government services through the process of “Privatization.”

This got the public to go along with the use of the resources of American and Britain was planned to be done by lying to it citizens about the threat of WMD alleged to be held by Iraq and going to war for the security of our two nations and the world! This was the stage upon which American and Britain went into this Illegal and officially, undeclared war. These High Crimes committed by G. W. Bush are more severe than any of those committed by Richard M. Nixon in the “Water Gate Scandal!” Further, the Congress illegally abdicated its constitutionally required authority to jointly declare a war! 

Here is a brief timeline of the issues reported a team for BBC Television and Harper's on the plans to seize Iraq's assets and oil. ·        February 2001 - Only one month after the first Bush-Cheney inauguration, the State Department organized a secret confab in California to make plans for the invasion of Iraq and removal of Saddam.   US oil industry advisor Falah Aljibury and others are asked to interview would-be replacements for a new US-installed dictator. 

·        March 2001 - Vice-President Dick Cheney meets with oil company executives and reviews Iraqi oil field maps and refused to release the names of those attending or their purpose.  It has since been learned that their plan and purpose -- see below.

·        October/November 2001 - An easy military victory in Afghanistan emboldens then-Department of. Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz to convince the Administration to junk the State Department "coup" plan in favor of an invasion and occupation that could remake the economy of Iraq and redistribute its resources to designated corporate interest.  An elaborate plan, ultimately summarized in a 101-page document, scopes out the "sale/privatizing of all Iraqis state enterprises" -- that is, most of the nation's assets,  "…  especially in the oil and supporting industries." 

·        2002 - Corporate lobbyists met secretly with U. S. Defense; State and Treasury officials to ensure the invasion plans for Iraq include plans for protecting "property rights." The result was a pre-invasion scheme to sell off Iraq's oil fields, banks, electric systems, and even change the country's copyright laws to the benefit of the lobbyists' clients.    Occupation chief Paul Bremer would later order these giveaways into Iraq law.

·        Fall 2002 - Philip Carroll, former CEO of Shell Oil USA, is brought in by the Pentagon to plan the management of Iraq's oil fields. "There were plans," says Carroll, "maybe even too many plans" -- but none disclosed to neither the public nor even the US Congress.

·        January 2003 -Former CIA oil analyst, wais sent, to London to plan terms for taking over Iraq's oil.

·        March 2003 - What White House spokesman Ari Fleisher calls "Operations Iraqi Liberation" (OIL) begins.  (Invasion is re-christened "OIF" -- Operation Iraqi Freedom.)

·        March 2003 - Defense Department is told in confidence by US Energy Information Administrator that Iraq's fields are incapable of a massive increase in output.  Despite this intelligence, Dep. Secretary testifies to Congress that invasion will be a free ride.  He swears, "There's a lot of money to pay for this that doesn't have to be U.S. taxpayer money. …We're dealing with a country that can really finance its own reconstruction and relatively soon," a deliberate fabrication promoted by the Administration
 

·        May 2003 - General Jay Garner, appointed by Bush as Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld fires viceroy over Iraq, for revealing that he resisted White House plans to sell off Iraq's oil and national assets. The general also disclosed that these invade-and-grab plans were developed long before the US asserted that Saddam still held WDM:  

The Bush Administration planned to control the Traditional Media reporting of this activity.

These clandestine Bush efforts intimately resulted in the death of about 1,700 American girls and boys and many more maimed and injured fellow Americans. In addition, tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens were killing and or injured!

The first Congressman Conyer hearing on this problem was held on June 16. 2005 and televised by CSPAN. There has been over 500,000 signatures collected calling for and investigation into this serious Criminal Activity. However, there has been little exposure given this process by the traditional media. This is where Bloggers will fill an important patriotic need to save our Democratic Republic as we know and love it!!
