BLOGGERS MUST ASSIST THE CONYER HEARINGS ON BUSH IMPEACHMENT!!! 9 Bloggers are asking regularly the questions, “How can this President be Impeached since he are alleged to have committed Higher Crimes Against the Constitution than those of both Clinton and Nixon? And why has no impeachment proceedings been started?” Officially stated, “The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanor’s” The short answer to the first question is that The Congress has the power to start Impeachment proceedings and at this time Republicans control the Congress and the Judiciary. Both have proven that they are soundly in Bush’s corner under all circumstances! . In addition, the short answer to the second question is that at this time Republicans control the Congress. This week (6/12/2005) Congressman Conyers has opened hearings to compile issues of Impeachable offenses committed by The G. W. Bush Administration.
Impeachment
What? Technically, impeachment is the Senate's quasi-criminal proceedings, instituted to remove a public officer, (not the actual act of removal) beginning with the House's Impeachment inquiry ending with a complex series of steps and procedures undertaken by the Legislature. The process roughly resembles a grand jury inquest, conducted by the House, followed by a full-blown trial, conducted by the Senate with the Chief Justice, who is Republican at this time, presiding. Impeachment is not directed exclusively at Presidents Why? Article 2, Section 4--". . .on impeachment for, and on conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes or misdemeanors." The test is not satisfied by all crimes. With only two named offenses to provide context for the inclusive phrase "high crimes and misdemeanors," the standard remains undefined. In the case of Andrew Johnson, the House accused the President, among other things, of speaking disrespectfully of Congress "in a loud voice." As we recall Vice President Cheney has done this on several occasions while on the floor of the Congress! How? Article 1, Section 2, Clause 5--"The House of Representatives . . . shall have the sole power of impeachment." The House, through the Judiciary Committee, conducts investigation and gathers evidence. At the proper time, the House assembles the evidence into individual indictments or charges known as Articles of Impeachment. . Article 1, Section 3, Clause 6--"The Senate shall have the sole power to try all impeachments. When sitting for that purpose, they shall be on oath or affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no person shall be convicted without the concurrence of two thirds of the members present." Article 1, Section 3, Clause 7--"Judgment in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States: but the party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to indictment, trial, judgment and punishment, according to law." The extended answer to these questions is that the possibility of a Bush Impeachment has been soundly thought out by CATO, Rove, Cheney and the Bushs long ago. Our form of Democratic Republic Government is divided into the three branches of Administrative, Legislative and Judicial to create a balance of powers each branch has a constitutional duty in any impeachment. However, a large part of the conducting of this Constitutional is left to the “Christian Conscience” of our elected American Leaders. In other words The Constitution is the Law that guides our nation but it has left room for those who run the government to make moral decisions for the good of the people even including war! For example, there is no law against our leaders telling lies that mislead the people but there is the greater law of God’s ten commandments that forbid the telling of falsehoods. Therefore, if you are a "moral" person and have the expected accompanying consciences, you will not tell deliberate lies regularly even in the name of being political. However, if you are an “Amoral or Immoral” person the process of lying is as acceptable as the truth. However, you must be sure that the lie is a respectable lie. Moreover, there are at least three things that can bring about this Impeachment: 1) The Republican Congress will have to carry out their duty and appoint a “Special Council” to investigate and litigate this matter. 2) The Republican Congress will have to hold hearings on this matter. 3) American’s Patriotic Bloggers must assume the lead in this necessary Impeachment process. First, Bloggers must list all impeachable offences as known to them. These offences must be compiled and then used by all Bloggers to assure that no day goes by without many Bloggers sites Blogging this list wherever possible. This process must be substantial, relentless, and assertive. I think that we are seeing his finger prints in the presentations being made by the comfortable Right on CSAN as they reemphasize the reasons for such things as the war on Iraq or the lie that Social Security is in crisis, or that 80 percent of all Americans polled under the age of thirty want to put their Social Security retirement contributions in private investment accounts. Karl Rove must be placed on America’s terrorist list. He has done more to destroy our American Democratic Republic way of life, as we know it, than any other person or group.
